WHAT IS A HOME INSPECTION
As a licensed North Carolina home inspector I will give you an experienced, unbiased, professional assessment of the condition of the physical structure of the house and various systems within the house, an expert opinion and professionally prepared, detailed report.
I will conduct a visual and physical home inspection to collect information on the condition of the home. The inspection process typically takes about 2-3 hours to complete; however, this amount of time can vary depending on the size and condition of the home.
I strongly encourage you to accompany me during the inspection. This will give you a chance to ask questions and become familiar with the systems of the home. If you can’t be at the home inspection for the entire time, try to come at the end of the inspection if possible. This will allow us to review and discuss any issues or problems discovered during the inspection and cover any questions you may have. Also, this is a great time to discuss maintenance requirements for your new home. Typically, you will receive your written pdf inspection report by email within one (1) business day.
Your home is a group of systems which function together. I will inspect each of the following systems (if applicable):

INSPECTION SERVICES WE OFFER
PRE-LISTING INSPECTION
Selling your home? A home inspection prior to listing your home will give you an idea of the minor and potentially major items that need repair.
This gives you time to find someone to do the repairs without the pressure of having to have them repairs done in 10 days or less.
As an example: That small area of decayed wood or the very slow drip of a pipe leak in the crawlspace may be a quick and reasonably priced repair but it could also scare a potential buyer and cause them to walk away. Really, when was your last trip through your crawlspace?
PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION
Buying an existing home? You were so excited to find a home you loved the minute you walked in the door that:
You never noticed the 6” hole in the chimney siding even after visiting the home three times or
Thought about the house being 22 years old with the original roof.
The home inspection is a visual and physical inspection of your potential new home. A home inspection allows you to know the little and big items that may be in need of repair.
NEW CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION
Buying a new home? Tell your builder you are thinking of having a home inspection and the likely response is “you don’t need a home inspector, this home has been inspected by the local building inspector.”
The thing is, the local building inspector did not check every electrical outlet, fill all the sinks and tubs, open and close all the windows/doors and may have never passed through the crawlspace door to see the cut floor joist under the ½ bath toilet or the drain line that’s not connected from the kitchen sink…
